Urgent need to improve the environment
Dangerous climate change and the progressive degradation of the natural environment require urgent concrete action to improve the quality of the world around us. Aware of the need for change, the international non-profit organization CDP (formerly: Carbon Disclosure Project) has been running a program to support the low-carbon economy since 2000. As part of the initiative, a global environmental disclosure system has been developed for investors, companies and cities and regions. The data collected in this way are used to prepare reports that are intended to motivate and make the public aware of the need to take pro-environmental measures, as well as to help manage the impact on the changes taking place on Earth.
