This year's heatwaves have a negative impact not only on our comfort, but also on our wallets. It turns out that the very high temperatures experienced by us are also a problem for refrigeration equipment, negatively affecting their operation. In addition, the use of this type of systems in the summer period is one of the largest sources of electricity consumption in enterprises.

The efficiency of equipment used for the production of cold depends on the temperature of the outside air. With the increase in temperature, which increasingly exceeds 30℃, much more electricity consumption is required to maintain cold production. However, there are methods to improve the efficiency of refrigeration equipment. One of them, analyzed by our company, is SCA — Adiabatic Cooling Systems.

The principle of operation of the solution is based on the evaporation of water, which thereby cools the air reaching the device. In one of the implementations analyzed by our company, SCA reduced the temperature by 6℃ when the ambient temperature was 30℃, while above it was a change of 7℃. The total cooling capacity was 660 kW. After modernization, the monthly energy savings were close to 15 MWh, which translated into a payback time of 2 months.

SCA systems are also attractive due to the possibility of obtaining white certificates with their help. If you are interested in improving the efficiency of refrigeration equipment, we encourage to contact.

Our services as part of the energy efficiency audit

The audit is a key step in the process of applying for grants and grants. We will prepare a study that will meet the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Act and meet the expectations of, for example, an ecological loan.
